With 5 days left, we're well over our Kickstarter pre-order goal. Thank You!
I'm so grateful for the support from all who have pre-ordered the new RSB album. We have a few days left and I hope you'll consider joining us and receive the 3 immediate downloads.
Someone asked me yesterday "What do you do with all that extra cash?"
Hmmm...
We could:
1.Host all the backers at the Seay house for egg nog & sugar cookies
2. Host a Texas BBQ on the steps of the Alamo
3. Invite all who pre-ordered to the annual RSB softball game
Though all lovely ideas, I realized a few things:
1. Christmas is nearly upon us
2. We have some additional funds, thanks to the generosity of so many on Kickstarter
3. We have some Christmas songs sitting around in the songwriting cellar
4. We now have hundreds of new friends that deserve a fine gift from RSB this Christmas
And so..
IT'S BEEN DECIDED!
If we can reach 500 backers in the next week, we'll have the funds to record a Christmas EP and give it away as a gift to all those backers on Kickstarter!!
Will you consider pre-ordering?
If you've done so already, will you call your grandmother, cousins, friends from college & your hairdresser and invite them to be the beneficiary of such a fine gift as this here RSB music?

Happy Fall and we're hoping its a Happy RSB Christmas
Cheers,

Chad Karger is a friend and mentor.
He has counseled me through good times and bad.
He & his wife Meeka are the godparents of two of my kids.
When he asked RSB to be a part of a night of music and story that would benefit his organization, we said a resoudning YES!
Better Days is the name of his organization and as you might have stored in the back of your mind somewhere - the title track to an album we recorded in 2004.
Our music and his work not only share name, but in many ways share vision.

And so, this Friday in Houston, RSB will join friends JILLIAN EDWARDS, JILL PHILLIPS & ANDY GULLAHORN for a concert to benefit the work of Better Days.
Here's the info:

Hope to see you there.

Robbie
And with Fall, we're also overjoyed to announce to you and the world the release of new RSB music, due out this November!
After 6 years with EMI Music, the band & I have begun the journey of recording our first independent album since 'Better Days' in 2004. Recording is underway and we're currently nearing the halfway mark in the process. We are more excited about this collection of songs than any we've created together as a band!
Here is where you join this musical circus: WILL YOU CONSIDER PRE-ORDERING THE NEW RSB ALBUM TODAY? By doing so, you'll allow us to have the funds needed to complete, mix and duplicate the record + finish video content to help share the new music.
We've partnered with Kickstarter to allow you the chance to pre-order the album, download 2 brand new songs immediately and have some amazing packages to choose from. For example, you ask?
Screen printed posters
New exclusive RSB tee shirts
A gathering for songwriters/musicians hosted by Robbie with a Tex-Mex meal to follow
Dinner with RSB at our favorite restaurant (Royer's Cafe) + acoustic Christmas concert
A Taylor guitar
etc..etc..etc..
This is going to be fun! But only if you'll join us today, choose a pre-order package, download the 2 new songs & tell your friends.

And so we've started this new album. Will you help us finish it?
Happy soon to be Fall.
